This is the first time I have ever used a kitchen appliance just to steam food. I usually do it with a pot and some water. This kitchen steamer by Kitchen Deluxe, helps alleviate the mess and lets your vegetables steam naturally.It comes with a free e-book of recipes, and a julienne vegetable peeler. It ready to use out of the box, you just have to attach the handle. On the bottom of the steamer are 3 flipdown legs, which are about 2 inches tall.The steamer is made of stainless steel, so there are no worries about it rusting, or turning black. Now to use the steamer, you take your a soup size pot and put enough water in it, so it's about an inch high in the pot. You bring that to a boil. While this is happening, you take your favorite vegetables, season them appropriately, and put them in the steamer. Whith the pot water boiling, drop in the closed steamer with ingredients. Then you put the lid of the pot on and let the vegetables steam. In my opinion, I think this is extra work to do when you can just steam them in the pot. I like the idea, and it works well.
