#AlphaShades

I usually buy the sunshades that are easy to fold up like an accordion. they lay flat and are very easy to store in your car. We just bought a 2008 Toyota Highlander, and we were looking for sunshades on Amazon. My husband insisted that we buy a round one. So we agreed on this one by AlphaShades.

When it arrived it was in a small round case, and looked pretty easy to use. I went outside and put it in my car. First I was disappointed that it didn't have a cutout for the rear view mirror. With a cutout, it will usually help to hold the sunshade in place. Next I had a hard time trying to get it to stay in place with the visors. It was on the border of being to small, but I made it fit. This sunshade is pretty thin too. I got out of the car to look at the front windshield, and it was pretty evenly covered.

I went back outside after the car had been in the sun for a few hours, to see if it actually kept the car from getting too hot. It actually did a pretty good job. The steering wheel was not hot to the touch, and the seats were still fairly cool. The inside temperature was 89 degrees. Much less than it would have been without the sunshade.

I must tell you I couldn't for the life of me, get this shade twisted correctly to put in the bag. I tried for 5 minutes, and finally I asked my husband to do it. Would I buy this again? I'm not sure. I am one of those people who is always on the move, and always in a hurry. So I am looking for products that make my life easier. I gave the sunshade 4-Stars. My husband was happy with the purchase. And it did keep the car cool. The price is about average of what I would expect to pay for a product of this quality. I was given this product for free or at a reduced price, for my honest and truthful unbiased review. All opinions are my own. I am a consumer. I personally buy and use every product I review.
