Holiday Spirit for Hire Book Review

What are the holidays without a holiday romance?

Holiday Spirit for Hire is a short, delectable escape from the stresses of the season with a simple recipe for diversion: add a glass of wine, some dark chocolate and a few long sighs.

Isabelle Saint-Michael has penned a fun, whimsical novella set in the North Pole. It features Grace, a Halfling (half werewolf, half human) and a rather grumpy but warm hearted operations manager, Justin Kringle.

Grace is offered a position as Holiday Spirit which means she must right wrongs, repair broken hearts and a multitude of other situations that rob people of their seasonal joy. Since she has been laid off, she accepts the position without fully understanding what it entails. After arriving to the North Pole, she immediately butts heads with Justin - right before discovering she must share his room for the duration of her three week stay.

The two soon realize there's a lot more than animosity to their relationship and heat things up to a nice sizzle. While juggling her growing feelings, Grace resolves several "case" files successfully, albeit through unconventional methods.

This is a cute tale that I enjoyed. It's light, easy reading that flows quickly. The only flaws were a few instances of poor editing i.e. missing words, wrong POV but nothing so glaring it took me out of the story.

Holiday Spirit For Hire is a perfect read for romance, paranormal, and Christmas story fans as well as anyone who enjoys a character driven story with nicely developed arcs.
